We may be known for our interdisciplinary approach, blending STEM, Art, Science Fiction, and Writing, but our unique teaching style sets us apart. As our Lead Teacher, Aarushi, says, “We gamify part of the process of learning STEM in a way that asks students to lead with curiosity… It’s less about what we have to teach them and more about where their curiosity lies.”

From day one, our participants are in control of their education, leading their own explorations into peculiar yet stimulating new territories. Each workshop is an opportunity to ask questions and dive into a new experience.

In just the past three weeks of programming, our teens have dissected owl pellets, identified patterns, and considered their meaning. During a field trip on the NYC Ferry, they learned about nautical careers they can pursue right here in Brooklyn. As they studied body architecture, they discussed what it means to take up space and questioned how that applies to their own bodies.

These unique workshops, combined with our curiosity-led approach, lead to a genuine interest in STEM and an eagerness to learn more.

We can’t wait to see what other questions will be asked and answered this summer.
