You are a regular college student. You don't have many friends, but one day a boy in one of your classes treats you with kindness. He offers to help you with your work, and starts a conversation with you about your interests. The two of you hit it off immediately.
[[Next.]]
You tell the boy your name. He smiles. "I'm Oh Sangwoo," the boy responds. Now that you're up close to him, you can see that he's actually quite good looking.
"Nice to meet you, Sangwoo," you respond. The class that you're in ends, but Sangwoo asks you if you'd like to grab coffee after school. You say...
[["Sure!"]]
[["Sorry, I'm busy after school."]]You agree to meet Sangwoo at the Starbucks near your university. He flashes you a promising smile, and says "see you later!"
The rest of your classes are pretty uneventful. Eventually, school comes to an end. You exit the building and make your way towards the Starbucks. //I wonder if Sangwoo will be there before me...//, you think. After a couple of minutes walking, you made it in front of the Starbucks.
[[Enter Starbucks.]]"Oh... is that so?" Sangwoo replies, a dejected look on his face. "That's a pity." The boy gets up to leave the class that you're in. He blends in with the mass of students leaving the room. You pack up your stuff to leave the class, and then head to another room for a philosophy lecture. The rest of your day goes on as usual, and you look forward to seeing Sangwoo the next day.
Unfortunately for you, Sangwoo never returns to class. You never see him again, and no one ever mentions him again. It was almost like he never existed in the first place.
[[Maybe I should've gotten coffee with him...]]You got:
Normal End #1 - Gone
Start over?
[[Start.]]When you enter Starbucks, you see Sangwoo standing there, smiling. "I've been waiting for you!" You greet him. He asks you what type of coffee you like.
"I like a lot of coffee types," you respond.
"Alright. I'll surprise you then?"
"Surpise me?! I can buy it myself. I don't want you to be spending money on me."
"Nope. It's my treat."
"Fine... if you insist." You give in to the boy's offer to buy you coffee. He goes up to the counter and places an order with the barista. Since he was ordering, you decided to go to the bathroom. There was a bit of a line, but you managed to go in after waiting for a while. After using the bathroom, you walked back to where Sangwoo was. He was holding up two cups of coffee.
"Here's your order!" The boy gave you a charming grin. The coffee he handed you was a mocha. You took it.
[[Drink the coffee.]]
The coffee tasted a bit... strange, but you figured that the barista must've messed up the order. You didn't want to complain, since Sangwoo was kind enough to buy it for you.
"Wanna head to the park?" The boy asked."There's this one I freuqent often. The scenery is really beautiful."
You nodded. "Sure. We can drink the coffee there." The two of you left the Starbucks, and you followed Sangwoo. You were walking for a long time, but hadn't reached the park yet. It was quiet now. You started feeling lightheaded, and a sharp pain rang through your temple. Your vision slowly faded to black.
[[What's happening?]]When you wake up, you find yourself in a dark room.
//Is this... a basement? Where am I? Was I kidnapped???//
You look down, and notice that you're not tied up or chained to anything.
//That's strange...//
What do you do?
[[Try to examine the room.]]
[[Try to find a way out.]]You looked around the room. It was definitely a basement that you were in.
//How did I get here? Is someone coming for me?//
You lifted yourself up from the floor. There was nobody else in the room with you.
//I'm surprised I wasn't put in chains or anything...//
The floor of the basement wasn't dusty at all. It was almost as if it had been recently cleaned. There were a few storage boxes in the basement, and there were various objects on the shelves.
What do you decide to do next?
[[Scream for help.]]
[[Find a weapon.]]You walk around the room, looking for possible exits. You see one area where you can escape from. The stairs. They looked like they led to an apartment of some sorts.
//I can go out that way if it's not locked. It might be a trap though.//
What do you decide to do?
[[Take the stairs.]]
[[Stay here. It's too risky to take the stairs.]]You can feel your legs trembling. You walk up the stairs very slowly, careful not to make any noise.
//Almost there... just a little more...//
Your heart was beating rapidly.
[[Take the final step.]]//I'll just stay here... The door at the top of the stairwell is probably locked, and even if it isn't, it would just be a trap.//
You sit back down on the floor. You realize that you feel sort of tired. Your stomach is growling, and it hurts from hunger. Now that you think of it, the coffee that Sangwoo gave you earlier was the only thing you had that day. You didn't eat anything or drink anything else.
//Maybe that was why I passed out...//
You notice that there's a bowl of food on the floor. It looks like mush, and doesn't seem very appetizing, but you're desperate. What do you do?
[[Eat the food.]]
[[Sleep off the pain.]]You took the final step and made it to the top of the stairwell. Luckily, you didn't creak the floorboards or make any loud noises. You took a deep sigh.
//Phew. Now it's time to see if the door is locked or not.//
You brought your hand up to the doorknob and twisted it.
//It's unlocked???//
You could barely believe it. The door opened. You could see a long hallway stretching in front of you. At the end of that hallway, you could see the front door. There were doors that led to other rooms, but they looked closed. You had no intention of exploring the house anyway. You just wanted to get out of there.
[[Make your way to the front door.]]You began to walk towards the front door. It felt longer than you had expected it to be. The door became closer and closer. You finally reached out and twisted the handle. The front door opened.
...But your path was blocked by a certain someone. Sangwoo.
[[No... this can't be.]]"You thought it would be that easy to escape someone's house...?" Sangwoo laughed. The look in his eyes was enough to send chills down your spine.
"S-Sangwoo...? What are you doing here?"
"This is my house." Sangwoo stepped closer to you. You turned around, running as fast as you could.
//I need to lose him!//
All of a sudden, you felt an intense pain in your ankles. He had hit you with something. You could no longer stand. You fell on your hands and knees. You weakly turned your head around to see Sangwoo, standing over you, grinning. He held a metal baseball bat in one hand.
"OW!!!" You screamed. Sangwoo looked annoyed.
"Too bad. You're no fun to play with."
[["Someone... help me..."]]You called out for help... but nobody came. Sangwoo got a knife and tortured you for a bit. Then, he finally decided to finish you off. You were thrown back in the basement, where your corpse stayed for a long time, before he finally disposed of it.
[[Decay.]]
You got:
Bad End #1 - Just Another Victim
Start over?
[[Start.]]"SOMEONE! HELP ME!!! I'VE BEEN KIDNAPPED!!!"
You screamed at the top of your lungs. It was the loudest you could go.
//I hope someone can hear me.//
You began to bang on the walls of the basement.
"HELP!!!"
There was silence.
[[But then...]]//I should find something to protect myself...//
You head towards the shelves and try to find something that could be used as a weapon.
//A box...? Nope. I can't use a rag as a weapon... Oh, wait...!//
Two objects lying on different parts of a shelf in the basement catch your eye. One is a wooden baseball bat, and the other is a lighter. Which one do you pick up?
[[The wooden baseball bat.]]
[[The lighter.]]You decide to just eat the food.
//There's no point in poisoning or drugging the food if my coffee was drugged earlier. Besides, I'm starving.//
There aren't any utensils for you to use to eat the food, and the food isn't solid, so it would be too messy to eat it with your hands. You decide to just eat it in the way that a dog would. It was embarrasing, but it was the best option. You took a bit of the mushy food into your mouth.
//It tastes... like nothing. It's just warm. But I guess I shouldn't be complaining...//
As you put another bit of the food in your mouth, you feel a presence behind you.
"Enjoying that food...?"
You froze. It was Sangwoo.
[["S-Sangwoo?"]]You decided it would be best for you to get some shut eye. One of your suspicions was that Sangwoo was the one who kidnapped you, so if he tampered with your coffee, it's possible that he tampered with that food too. You close your eyes and drift off into a dreamless sleep.
When you wake up, you see a figure hovering over you. It was Sangwoo. It felt like your heart had stopped beating, and you felt fear coursing through your body.
"Did you sleep well?" The boy asked, almost teasing you. He held a metal baseball bat in one hand.
[["Sangwoo... why are you doing this?"]]
[["..."]]Sangwoo's expression completely changed. His smile dropped, and his eyes were cold. He was piercing you with his harsh gaze.
"It's something that brings me joy."
//What the...//
[["You monster!"]]
"Not in the mood for talking, huh?" The boy asked. He crouched down and lifted up your chin. Then he pulled a knife out of his pocket. He traced the knife against your skin. It felt sharp and cold. Then, he held it against your throat.
[["....."]]
[["...I love you."]]You pick up the wooden baseball bat. All of a sudden, the door at the top of the stairs opens. You hear footsteps coming down the stairs. A familiar voice echoed through the cold basement.You crouched behind a pile of large boxes that was stacked up on the floor.
"Don't hide from me... I know you're in here."
It was Sangwoo. You didn't have much time to think.
[[Attack him.]]
[[Threaten him.]]You pick up the lighter. You put it in your pocket. All of a sudden, the door at the top of the stairs opens. You hear footsteps coming down the stairs. A familiar voice echoed through the cold basement. You crouched behind a pile of large boxes that was stacked up on the floor.
"Don't hide from me... I know you're in here."
It was Sangwoo. You didn't have much time to think.
[[Try talking to him.]]
[[Fake an attack.]]The man walks down the stairs. He was getting closer. You're still hiding behind the boxes, and he sounds like he's near you. You hear silence, but then see shoes in the corner of your eye.
//Now's my chance...//
[[Jump out and swing the bat.]]"Get out here. I know it's you, Sangwoo. I have a weapon, so be warned." You said. You tried your best to sound hostile and stop your voice from wavering. You got up from behind the boxes and put your baseball bat on display for him to see. Sangwoo was at the bottom of the stairs, looking at you with an amused expression on his face.
"You have a weapon...?" He laughed, pointing at your bat. "That metal thing? You realize I'm a serial killer, right?"
//He's a serial killer...???//
[[Screw it, I'll attack him now.]]
[["You are...?"]]You stepped out from behind the boxes cautiously. You were met with the gaze of the man you met earlier. "Sangwoo...! I know you're there. I want to talk," you said. He was holding a knife.
"Oh...? You want to //talk?//" He asked, mockingly.
"Yes..." you responded.
"That's funny. I was just about to kill you..."
[["Please don't."]]
You decided it would be best to fake an attack. You pretended to be hiding something behind your back, then step out from behind the boxes.
//This will require some coordination...//
Without hesitation, you ran straight towards Sangwoo, who was standing on the other side of the basement. He looked way stronger than you. You were heading closer to you. You saw that he had a knife in his hand. He looked like he was about to attack. What do you do?
[[Go forward with the plan to attack Sangwoo.]]
[[Actually, I'll defend myself...]]"I guess you really are quiet." Sangwoo smirks to himself. You can feel the knife cutting into the skin on your throat.
[["........"]]"If you loved me, you would've eaten that food that I was kind enough to leave in a bowl for you." Sangwoo smirked sadistically, still pressing the knife against your throat.
"I do," you managed to choke out.
Sangwoo struck you in the head with the baseball bat violently. "LIES! You're just like my mom. All you ever do is make empty promises." He bashed your head in again. And again. And again. Your vision was starting to fade. You could no longer move, and it felt like all of the blood was being drained from your head. Eventually, your world faded to black... and you never woke up again.
[[It hurts...]]You got:
Bad End #2 - What is Love?
Start over?
[[Start.]]The pain becomes unbearable, but you accept it. There was no way you thought you'd survive in a situation like this anyway. There was no point to fighting back. And so you stay still while the man you met earlier punctures your throat with his knife.
In a way, you felt at peace.
[[Silence is deadly.]]You got:
Bad End #3 - Killing Me Softly
Start over?
[[Start.]]Sangwoo walked up to you slowly and grabbed your face. His grip was so firm that your jaw was starting to hurt.
"Let me go!" You screamed. "What the FUCK is wrong with you?!"
"I thought the drugs in the coffee would still have an effect on you, but it looks like they've worn off. You're quite hyper right now."
"LET ME GO!!!"
"Alright... alright..." Sangwoo said. He seemed unamused. "I'll let you go." He walked away from you, taking his hand away from your face.
[[Take a deep breath.]]//He let me go... I thought he would put up a fight.//
You smiled to yourself, but this victory of yours was shortlived. You felt something whack you in the back of the head. Your ears rung, and the impact of the object hitting you created a loud noise. You're in immense pain now.
Sangwoo crouches down, flipping you over.
[["Please... let me go..."]]You begged him to leave you alone, but he didn't. He had his sights on you, and wouldn't stop until you were dead. He grabbed a knife and shoved it into your chest. Again. And again. And again.
You bled out. The last thing you saw was Sangwoo's face... and this time he was smiling.
[[Suffer.]]You got:
Bad End #4 - Are You Happy Now?
Start over?
[[Start.]]"Why did you stop eating?" The man asked. You didn't respond. "If you're not going to continue eating, then I'll make you."
Sangwoo grabbed you by the hair and shoved your face down into the bowl of food. You could feel the mush against your face. You don't resist, fearing that the man would attack you. You feel like you're being suffocated.
This feeling seems to last forever, but Sangwoo finally lifts your face from the bowl. The mush drips down your face and falls onto the floor of the basement.
Then, Sangwoo crouches in front of you and grabs your face.
[[Stay still.]]What happens next is something you don't expect. Sangwoo lifts your face up and presses his lips against yours.
//!!!//
Your mouth is still covered in the food from the bowl. You start to feel lightheaded. Sangwoo eventually pushes you away, almost forefully. He has a sadistic grin on his face.
[[...!]]You realize that Sangwoo moved to grab a knife. He grabs you by the shoulders. You can feel yourself trembling now. He presses the knife against your neck. Your heart is beating twice as fast. Sangwoo laughs.
"What's wrong? Cat got your tongue?"
[["I love you!"]]
[["I hate you!"]]"Oh... is that true?" Something in Sangwoo's eyes changed.
"Yes... it's true! I love you... and your smile... I want to be with you."
Sangwoo says nothing and raises the knife up to a higher part of your throat. You feel the knife dig into your skin.
[["Sangwoo... it hurts."]]"You... hate me?" Sangwoo laughed.
[["YES...! I hate you!"]]
Sangwoo doesn't respond. Your throat stings, but you don't feel your vision fading. You wince in pain. Sangwoo pulls away and grins at you.
"That's what you get for resisting."
You press you hand against your throat and feel blood against your fingers. They're now soaked in red.
[["Let me go..."]]Sangwoo still says nothing. You're growing anxious. The blood continues to flow from your neck.
[["...I love you. I want to be with you...."]]
You look up at Sangwoo with desperation in your eyes. He laughs, then speaks to you.
"You really love me? Hah. You must be really fucking pathetic. Especially after I drugged you and everything." He looked down at you condescendingly.
[["It's true...! I really do love you!"]]Sangwoo grabbed you by the collar of your shirt. His strength made you feel weak in comparison. He yanked you near him.
"Go up the stairs," the man demanded.
You trembled, heading up the stairs slowly. Your neck was still bleeding. He must've cut you in a spot where your vitals weren't located. Then, you heard a loud bang and an unbearable pain in your ankles. You collapsed. You tried to walk, but it proved to be futile. "Ow...!!!"
Sangwoo laughed cruelly. "Now crawl. Unless you wanna die. Got it?"
[[Crawl.]]
You began to crawl up the stairs. The pain worsened after every step. You were in agony, but Sangwoo looked like he was enjoying it.
"You can live with me for now. But if you try to escape or kill me, you're going to be thrown in the basement again... and you'll rot there." Sangwoo gave you a menacing grin. You felt chills run down your spine.
[["Yes... I'll do chores for you and everything!"]]"Great," Sangwoo said.
And with that, the two of you began your life together. He continued his abuse, but he started to grow on you. In a way, you didn't want to leave. Sometimes he told you he loved you. Other times, he said he hated you. He sliced your throat and patched it up again. You knew it was wrong, but you gave up trying to escape. This was your life now.
[[Is this... true love?]]You got:

[[Start.]]"That's funny... you actually chose to eat that disgusting shit I fed you, and now you're saying you hate me. You're a bad liar."
[["I HATE YOU!"]]Sangwoo scoffed. "Shut up." He went up to you and covered your mouth with his hand. Your breathing became rougher.
Then, Sangwoo went and chained you up. You couldn't move with all the restraints.
[["Let me go! You piece of...!"]]Sangwoo was silent, then he turned to you. "What a shame... and here I was, thinking that I'd be able to keep you in my house. Guess I was wrong."
The man bent down, then patted you on the head. You tensed up. "I'm keeping you down here. Enjoy your stay."
[["Wait...!"]]You tried calling out to him to change his mind, but he was gone before you knew it. You were still in the basement, but this time, you were alone.
[[I wish someone would get me out of here...]]A month had already gone by. You were still in Sangwoo's basement. All of your meals were mush. Sometimes he force fed you. You were losing a lot of weight, feeling sick and on edge constanstly. Every time Sangwoo took in a new victim, he would brutally dismember, torture, or torment them in front of you. To make things worse, he smiled at you while doing so. You wondered when the pain would end, but knew it wouldn't be anytime soon. Sangwoo would keep you until he got bored.

[[Start.]]This simulator is based on the manhwa, Killing Stalking, written by Koogi. The content in the manhwa is much more graphic, but here are the content warnings for this specific Twine: Kidnapping, torture, & violence
If any of these themes bother you in a story, please proceed with caution, or don't play this Twine.
[[Start.]]You started to hear something. Footsteps.
//I hope someone's coming to save me...//
The footsteps got closer. And closer. Then, they stopped.
[["Hello?"]]You called out to the person approaching the basement. There was no response, but you heard the door open. The person standing at the top of the stairwell made your eyes widen in surprise. It was Sangwoo.
[["You drugged me...?"]]You walked up to the top of the stairs slowly. "It's true... right?"
"Mhmm," Sangwoo said, smiling. His voice was mesmorizing, but you couldn't help but feel scared. Sangwoo walked close to you. You backed up. You began to feel an impulse to run.
[[Run.]]You turned your back to run, but you felt a metal bat strike your ankles. They stung horribly. You crumpled onto the stairs, and screamed in agony. Sangwoo watched you, as if you were something pitiful. Then, he dragged your body down the stairs. You felt both your back and your ankles aching now.
Once you reached the bottom of the staircase, he flipped you over. He pulled out a knife.
[["What are you doing???"]]Sangwoo didn't bother responding to you. He was having too much fun. He took the knife and used it to stab you multiple times. Then, he grabbed a saw that was sitting on a shelf in the basement, and started to dismember your limbs. You were hanging on for life, but eventually, you lost the battle. You had a special place now... in Sangwoo's washing machine, with the rest of the corpses.

You jumped out from behind the pile of boxes, lunging towards Sangwoo. And then... you swung.
You heard a bang, but it sounded... off. You looked up and saw something that made your heart drop. Sangwoo was standing there, grinning. He had stopped the bat from hitting him, gripping it in his hand. He was like a real life demon.
"You really thought you'd knock out a serial killer that easily?" He grabbed the bat from you and restrained you, squeezing your arms tightly.
[["......"]]You said nothing.
//How strong is this dude anyway...?//
You tried pulling away, but he wouldn't budge. Then, you felt a sharp pain in your neck.
"AGHHHH!" You screamed. Blood began to drip from your neck. You began to feel weak. Your legs trembled, and your eyes were witness to a sea of red.
[[Did he stab me...?]]Being stabbed in the neck was the most likely possibility, but you couldn't confirm that hypothesis. Your legs gave out, and you left the world. Who knew that cold basement would be the last place you'd step foot in?

You rushed to where Sangwoo was. You ran faster than ever before. And then...
[["......"]]"Yes... I drugged your drink earlier, dumbass." Sangwoo gave you a cruel smirk, as if wondering how you'd react.
"You..." You stopped.
"Mhm. I'm planning on killing you now. So don't get in my way, mkay?"
"No... Don't kill me."
There was a knife sticking out of Sangwoo's pocket. He grabbed it and started tapping it against his hand. "And why shouldn't I kill you?"
[["Because... I want to live!"]]
[["Because... I'll help you!"]]Sangwoo laughed. "Don't we all...?" Something in his voice sounded sad... or maybe that was just your imagination.
"Is something up...?" You asked. You wondered if there was a way to help him.
Then, you felt the bat get grabbed from your hands.
//No... he... took it from me?//
Your legs trembled, but you couldn't move from the spot that you were in. You felt a sharp smack against your face. It was the bat. He had managed to catch you offguard and use the weapon against you. You fell onto the floor. He hit you. Again. And again. And again.
[[Ow...]]Something in Sangwoo's eyes changed. He looked even more amused.
"You'll //help// me? How so?"
You were desperate. "I mean I'll assist you. I'm pretty good at dealing with gore. I can help you dispose of bodies... or hell, I'll even help you kill people."
You spoke confidently, trying to hide your nervousness. You would rather hurt others than be killed now. There was silence, but then Sangwoo spoke. "Alright. It's a deal."
[["Really?"]]Your vision started to fade. Eventually, your life did too, due to the harsh impact of the baseball bat. Your face was a bloody mess.

You were scared by his words, but nodded. "I understand."
"Great. So are you gonna come upstairs or what?" Sangwoo extended his hand to you.
[[Take his hand.]]You took his hand and he led you up the stairs. This moment marked the beginning of your work as Sangwoo's accomplice. You began to live with him, got used to torturing victims and hearing the sounds of screams. Blood was not an unusual sight for you. Although Sangwoo was still a mysterious character, you no longer feared being killed by him.
Your life changed, but deep down in your heart, you felt guilty. You also feared being caught. Your murders were under the radar for now, but who knew how long it would take for the police to get involved...

[[Start.]]You could feel your hands shaking a bit in fear.
"Hah... you think I'll pity you? Pathetic." The man stepped closer you you. He looked like he could stab you at any given moment. You remembered you had the lighter in your pocket.
[[Take the lighter out.]]
[[Wait a bit.]]You took the lighter out and held it towards Sangwoo. "DON'T MOVE!" You screamed. Sangwoo seemed amused. He took a step towards you. You flicked the lighter, but before you knew it, you felt a pain in your gut. Sangwoo had kicked you, and the lighter flew out of your hands. You landed on the floor.
Sangwoo walked up to you slowly. "I'll make this a quick and easy death, okay?"
He took the knife and stabbed it into your chest. It hurt horribly. You began to move around, but he restrained you, then thrusted the knife into your neck.
[[Perish.]]You decided to wait a bit to use the lighter. "I don't need pity." You grinned at him, as if challenging him.
"I see. You're quite bold for someone close to death. You're a funny one."
"Hmm... you really think so?" You laughed. "So... since I'm going to be dead anyway, why don't you tell me about yourself? Do you live alone?" You really couldn't care less. You were just trying to stall for time.
Sangwoo looked as if he were contemplating answering you properly. "Why should I tell you...?"
[["Because I care about you."]]You bled out on the floor of Sangwoo's basement, and nobody came to save you. It was a sad death, really...
[[I'm all alone now.]]You got:
Bad End #6 - Lonesome You
Start over?
[[Start.]]Sangwoo looked at you with a shocked expression. "You do?"
"Yeah."
He sighed. "Well... I live alone. Both of my parents are dead. You're probably the hundredth person I've taken down here. If you think you'll survive you're sorely mistaken..."
[[Now's my chance...]]You slowly took the lighter out of your pocket. Then, you ran up to Sangwoo. He seemed to be caught offguard, because you managed to burn his face. "AGHH...! FUCK...!!!" The man held his eye, keeling over in pain. Noticing your opening, you sprinted for the stairs.
The stairwell felt longer than usual, but the door to the inside of the house wasn't locked. You were met with a lengthy hallway. Frantically, you headed in the direction of the door, then twisted the doorknob. It was locked. You need to unlock it. You heard loud footsteps coming from the basement.
[[Unlock the door.]]You unlocked the door. You could feel your hands shaking. The footsteps were getting closer. The door opened. You ran out the door faster than you had ever ran in your life. You felt around in your pockets to see if you had your phone on you.
//Nope. Sangwoo must've taken it.//
Realizing that you had no phone, you were overcome with fear. The sky was dull, yet still brighter than it was in that dreary basement.
[[Continue running.]]You continued to run. Then, you saw a building in the distance. It looked like a police station. You ran until you reached the station. You couldn't tell whether Sangwoo was still chasing you or not.
When you were inside the police station, a man approached you. He had short brown hair, and wore glasses.
"What's wrong?" The man asked.
"I was kidnapped... by a man named Oh Sangwoo. He was planning on killing me, and confessed to murdering multiple people."
The man froze. It looked like he knew Sangwoo. "Oh no... The chief is very fond of that guy, but I've never trusted him. I believe you. One hundred percent."
You sighed in relief. The man asked you for your name, and you told him what it was. He introduced himself as Yang Seungbae. "Thank you," you smiled at him.
"No problem... we'll handle the rest of this case."
[[Stay at the police station.]]You stayed at the police station. You didn't hear anything new about the case for a while.
Later on, Seungbae returned. You were safe, and weapons were discovered at the scene of the crime, along with various corpses. There was one thing missing from the house however. Sangwoo. The cops were unable to locate him and arrest him. He was presumed to be alive, but nobody knew his whereabouts. You continued going to school as usual, but Sangwoo never showed up to school again. His crimes were brought to attention on the news, but even then, he was never found. You never were able to get justice for yourself or Sangwoo's other victims, but at least you weren't dead. You also made a friend out of the experience -- Seungbae.

[[Start.]]You tried to aim a blow at Sangwoo's face, and you did. Unfortunately for you, he managed to stab you in the abdomen. Wincing in pain, you dug your fingernails into Sangwoo's veins. He seemed in pain too. He ended up dropping the knife. The two of you rolled onto the floor. He didn't seem to be looking for a split second.
[[Use the lighter.]]You change your mind and decide to defend yourself. You get stabbed in the arm by Sangwoo, but that pain was worth it. If you hadn't blocked his attack, you could've gotten stabbed in the abdomen, torso, or worse.
You wince, watching the blood drip from your arm. Then, with your free hand, you pull the lighter out of your pocket and flick it on. You raise it to Sangwoo's face and burn him.
"AGHHH!" The man screamed out in pain. He dropped the knife. While he wasn't looking, you threw the lighter on the floor. It was on, and a fire started in the basement. You grabbed the knife that was lying on the floor and stabbed it into his chest. He tried to grab you, but you ran as fast as you could. Up the stairs. Out the hallway. Out the door. You didn't hear footsteps behind you.
While you were running, you noticed a payphone booth.
[[Use the payphone.]]You flicked the lighter on, then scooted it away from you, towards the boxes. Sangwoo crawled towards you, attempting to attack you, but you grabbed the knife. You could barely move due to the stab wound. You stabbed Sangwoo in the arm. He began to bleed. You noticed that a fire had started in the basement. You watched as the fire began to spread across the room. Eventually, it had even blocked the stairwell.
Sangwoo turned to you, then laughed. "I guess she was right. I really am going to die the most painful death."
[[Who's she...?]]You looked at him curiously, then noticed something. The man was crying. The room was illuminated orange and red. The smell of smoke caused you to cough. Sangwoo didn't answer your question.
"I'll be in hell. It's the only place where I belong. It was nice knowing you."
The two of you laid there in silence, bleeding out. The fire was growing rapidly now. It grew nearer. And nearer. It began to creep up your skin.
//Why didn't the smoke kill us...?//
It hurt. It hurt badly. It was the worst pain you'd ever felt.
But to Sangwoo, it hurt even worse.
[[Burn.]]You got:
Normal End #3 - Ashes To Ashes
Start over?
[[Start.]]You used the payphone and dialed emergency services. You were still bleeding, and nobody was around. You could see that a house was burning in the distance.
Sangwoo's house.
[[Wait for the emergency services to come.]]The emergency services showed up after about a five minute wait. You were taken by an ambulance, while cops arrived at Sangwoo's house.
The medics treated you well, but you were told to stay in the hospital overnight. When you turned on the news in the hospital, you found out that Sangwoo passed away after burning to death in his house. You also found out something shocking. He had been keeping his mother in the walls, even positioning her. For some reason, her body hadn't decomposed yet. You shivered.
Then, you heard a knock on the door.
[["Who is it?"]]"It's officer Seungbae." A man with brown hair and glasses enters your hospital room. You recognize him as one of the cops who showed up when you dialed emergency services. Seungbae had brought you flowers. "These are for you. It's horrible what Sangwoo did."
"Yeah... I saw that he had at least a hundred victims." You sighed. "Well... I'm glad I didn't become one of them."
"I'm glad too. You're finally safe. You must still be shaken up after all that chaos, but I'll be here to stay with you."
[["Thanks."]]You smiled at the officer. This marked the end of your kidnapping. Although it was difficult, you managed to return to your normal life after that. Many students befriended you at school, lending you their comfort. You kept in touch with Seungbae, becoming extremely close. And to top it off, you no longer had to worry about Sangwoo hurting you or anyone else.
He was a monster, for sure, but part of you still had questions about him. What had turned him into a person like that? Why did he preserve his dead mom and keep her in the wall?
//Oh well... I guess none of that matters.//
You pushed your thoughts about Sangwoo aside.
//That's right. I'm alive.//
[[I can be happy now.]]You got:
